Trailer got an upgrade this year. A deflector/storage container was added to the front of the trailer. Since it required painting, Perry took the opportunity to pass a quick paint job over the rest of the trailer.
Alcohol was sponsored by John with some direct from Bermuda dark Rum and ginger beer. A total of 4.25 litres of rum (2x1.75 plus .75) was brought for this trip. 2.5 litres was consumed.
Upon arrival to the lake we had a good laugh with our neighbours. They called us during the opening weekend to see if everything was ok, since we are prone to problems on the road ;)
Theme for the hunt was "Apalahtika 'po s'ena" for obvious reasons.
Weather was great for hunting, only rained one afternoon. Perry observed a hawk that caught a fish out of water...cool.
Food was plentiful and several bbq were held. Saturday night under stars we were treated to a nice northern lights show.
End result no moose, that's ok we let it grow a bit more for next year.
